Shipping and Delivery

How much do I pay for shipping?

Our shipping policy is free domestic shipping within Australia and free international shipping to New Zealand on orders over $100. International Orders over $100 will be charged $46.50, Orders under $100 will pay $9.95 domestically and 14.95 internationally.

When does my order arrive?

We use Sendle and Australia Post for most of our deliveries within Australia and New Zealand. You can expect your shipment to be in transit for 3 - 6 business days once shipped (1 - 2 days handling).

How can I track my order?

After your order has been shipped, you will receive an email with a ‘Track Order’ button, once clicked, you will be taken directly to the shippers website (Sendle/Aus Post) where you can track your order.

My order is missing/ has not been delivered?

If your order is taking longer than expected it is recommended you contact the shipping agency directly. If you would prefer to contact us, we are able to get basic information from the shipping agency however this is a 2-3 day process.

Do I have to pay GST?

All orders purchased domestically are subject to 10% Inclusive GST. Orders purchased in New Zealand are subject to 15% Inclusive GST. All GST is inclusive in displayed and checkout prices, because of this, you will not be charged more than the sum of the product value + shipping.

When will my kit restock?

We currently restock on a monthly basis and we work hard to keep our popular models in stock. Generally, no product will be out of stock for more than 21 days. If you are curious about whether we are restocking your kit, feel free to contact us below.

Product Questions

How is my kit packaged?

All kits are packaged in our DriveiTech custom cardboard mailing boxes (inc. head unit, fascia & accessories). Our kits are then wrapped in custom DriveiTech mailing tape to ensure security of the package.

Do kits come with instructions?

All of our kits come with general harness and wiring set-up instructions however these are not specific to makes and models. If you are not familiar with your vehicle's current configuration or dash removal, we recommend outsourcing installation.

What is 2 Din?

Double din units are essentially two single din units stacked on top of each other. If your vehicle already has a double din unit, replacing it should be fairly straight forward. However, if you’re upgrading from a single din unit, more intensive modifications are required.

Do you do installation?

Yes, we provide local installation (Brisbane, within 75kms of CBD). The Cost of installation is generally between $220 and $350. If you live in a major city within Australia, feel free to contact us as to recommended installers in your area.

What is Apple CarPlay?

Essentially, it’s like extending your iPhone to your car. You can enjoy the same iOS experience while using your favorite music streaming, messaging, and navigation apps. Siri is integrated within the system too, which means you can dictate text messages or ask for directions hands-free. If your car didn’t come standard with Apple CarPlay, buying a CarPlay head unit is a good move.

On that same note, if you have an Android phone, you can enjoy a similar experience with an Android Auto head unit. Many of the newest cars come standard with these features, but if your car is a few years old, it may not have. You don’t need to buy a new car to have these modern features! Simply buy the right head unit, install it, and you’re on your way!

Can I Keep Steering Wheel Controls?

If your car has existing audio controls on the steering wheel, you’re probably more than familiar with them. Unfortunately, those controls and their functionality can be lost when installing a new head unit without the vehicle specific kit. The good news is that with the right adapter, you can likely keep them just the same and have them work with your new stereo!

How do I know if my vehicle is compatible?

Cars can be complicated to say the least. We do offer a list of compatible models and variants where applicable on our product pages. If your vehicle has already had a stereo upgrade, our OEM plugs may be incompatible as it is not uncommon for plugs to be removed and the harness wired directly when head units without compatible harnesses are installed.  We are working on getting installation photos for each vehicle (approx 50% with photo). These photos can be a great reference for the compatibility of the fascia.

*note: If you are unsure about your vehicle, send us a photo of your dash as well as the year and model of the vehicle.

Will it damage my dash or wiring?

Our kits are built to match OEM dash and in-dash harness, offering a plug and play experience when installing our kits. This also applies to our accessories with a few exceptions: 

Reverse camera will need to be powered by 12v in reverse light.

Some models will need to have the steering wheel controls wired in via the harness, this is a single wire.

Do I need a professional to install?

Our kits are built to make the installation process not only much easier, but also completely reversible. That being said, if you are not familiar with auto-electronics it is highly advised that you source professional assistance. We offer installation services in the local Brisbane area. If you do not live local to Brisbane but would like to have your stereo installed, contact us and we can offer installers in each major city within Australia.

What apps do I have access to?

With access to the Play Store on all stereos as well as CarPlay on specific models, there is access to hundrends of thousands of apps! From Shopify and YouTube to Waze and Google Maps, Our kits have you covered!

Returns and Warranty

Do you have a return policy?

Yes, we offer 30 day free returns so if you experience installation issues or the product is not what you expected, you may return your order within that time. Feel free to contact our staff and as long as the kit is not damaged, we can action a return and refund. (Note: damaged kits will be subject to partial refund based on what is required to repair)

How long do I have to return my kit?

Our free return policy is active for 30 days from fulfillment, if delivery of the order is delayed, this can be amended.

Do I have to pay for my return/refund?

No, returns are free, once confirmed via email, we will send you a return label which can be printed at your local post office, once printed, attached to the box and deliver to the appropriate local shipping agent (post office).

How long do returns/refunds take to process?

Once the order is received back at our warehouse, it will be inspected and tested, from there a refund will be processed. This process usually takes 3-5 business days once received.

Can I change or cancel my order?

You can cancel your order if it has not been fulfilled however after, you will need to request a return label and attach the label over top of the original label once received.
