General Stereo Set-up

General Stereo Removal:

ENSURE YOUR VEHICLE IS ALWAYS TURNED OFF WHILE WORKING ON STEREO.

To connect your new stereo to your vehicle, remove original facia and/or air con depending on the model and uninstall your original stereo by unplugging all the cables running into the back.

Installing New Stereo:

Step 1: Install GPS out of sight or under the dash by removing the sticky pad and placing it in position (Note: run the wire from the GPS back into the dash to be later screwed into the new stereo). Repeat Step for 4G antenna if applicable.

Step 2: Run the external mic to the steering wheel or dash and remove sticky, run the cable back into the dash to be later plugged into the RCA adapter.

Step 3: Run USB cables to glovebox, center console or custom USB slots, leaving some room for these cables to be later plugged into the back of the system.

Step 4: Next, connect the harness to the new system and plug in the canbus box if applicable (Note: Canbus is a black box in the kit that integrates steering wheel control functionality, once plugged into the harness, plug the secondary wire coming from the canbus box into the system.)

Step 5: Plug the RCA adapter into the system if using external mic/sub.

Step 5: Connect your new system to the vehicle by plugging your harness into the OEM plugs within the dash. (If your vehicle has an antenna in the dash plug into the back of system, otherwise use antenna built into the harness)

Step 6: Connect the GPS, 4G antenna, USBs and external mic to the back of the system

Step 7: Once tested, clip or screw your new stereo in and you’ve completed the install.
